Designing of a stamping tools is an iterative process, where there is high risk that tools may need to be redesigned. Multiple trials and tool redesign takes time increasing the final cost. CIM-mes provides the stamping simulation services which gives possibility to check multiple designs and scenarios before the real tool will be manufactured resulting in significant cost savings.

For single action processes stamping simulations can be for example very useful for springback compensation.

Stamping simulations of transfer and progressive die gives possibility to verify and optimize operations at the early stage of the design process.

BLANK SHAPE OPTIMIZATION

Simulations can be very useful also for blank outline and trimming lines optimization. Blank outlines can be appointed very fast through simple method (very useful also for quoting), and through full simulation with tools.

FORMING WITH RUBBER TOOLS RUBBER PAD FORMING, FLEXFORMING AND STRETCH FORMING

For a short series production as in aerospace industry flexforming and stretchforming processes may be used. They can be also simulated to optimise the process.
