CIM-mes takes part in a project aimed to reduce the maufacturing cost and extend the service life of the MCFC fuel cells. The aim was to improve operating parameters in particular, the power per unit volume / mass of the cell, and the reduction of investment and operating costs through the use of alternative catalytic systems in printing technology. To better understand the physical process occuring in the fuel cell CIM-mes develop a custom numerical model of the fuel cell operation taking into account many complex phenomenas. The model is able to predict the electrolite distibution in the porous material of the electrodes, solve the gas transport and concentration and finally solve the reactions including electrone and ions flow.
Project is co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development.
